Senior QA Engineer

Senior QA Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of mobile and backend systems through a combination of manual and automated testing approaches. The role involves designing scalable test strategies, improving test automation coverage, and integrating modern AI-powered tools into the QA process.

The engineer will work closely with cross-functional teams including developers, product owners, and DevOps to validate features, identify risks early, and maintain high-quality standards across releases. A strong focus will be placed on mobile application testing (Android and iOS), API validation, and continuous improvement of testing processes.

The candidate is expected to actively contribute to building efficient QA workflows, leverage AI tools to increase productivity (test generation, analysis, debugging), and support the team in adopting modern testing practices. Experience with real-device testing, performance considerations, and CI/CD integration is highly valued.

Core Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain scalable test strategies and test automation frameworks
• Develop and execute manual and automated test cases for mobile (Android & iOS) and backend systems
• Ensure high test coverage across UI, API, and integration layers
• Collaborate with developers, product owners, and DevOps to define acceptance criteria and ensure testability
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and ensure reliable execution in different environments
• Analyze test results, identify defects, and work closely with teams to resolve issues efficiently
• Leverage AI tools to optimize testing processes, including test generation, debugging, and maintenance
• Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes, standards, and best practices
• Support performance and load testing activities when required
• Mentor junior QA engineers and contribute to knowledge sharing within the team

• Minimum 3+ years of experience in QA Engineering
• Strong experience in mobile application testing (Android & iOS)
• Hands-on experience with automation tools (e.g., Appium, Playwright, WebdriverIO, or similar)
• Experience in API testing (REST, JSON, tools like Postman, Axios, or similar)
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, etc.)
• Understanding of software testing methodologies and QA best practices
• Experience with test management tools (e.g., TestRail, Jira)
• Knowledge of AI-powered tools for QA (e.g., AI test generation, debugging assistants, code assistants like ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot, etc.)
• Ability to analyze requirements and create clear test scenarios and test cases
• Experience with real device testing platforms or emulators
• Basic understanding of performance and load testing concepts
• Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking skills
• Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with test automation framework design and architecture
• Experience in both UI and API test automation within a single framework
• Familiarity with Playwright or modern web automation tools
• Experience with mobile test automation frameworks (Appium or similar) at scale
• Knowledge of performance/load testing tools (e.g., JMeter, k6)
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
• Familiarity with cloud-based testing platforms (e.g., BrowserStack, Sauce Labs, Mobitru)
• Experience with containerization tools (e.g., Docker) and test execution in containerized environments
• Exposure to microservices architecture and distributed systems testing
• Experience integrating AI tools into QA workflows or building AI-assisted testing solutions
• Leadership or mentoring experience within QA teams
