Description
- Manage and optimize the network infrastructure (Level 2-3), including firewall, switches, routers, APs, and controllers;
- Lead the end-to-end planning and implementation of new office/data center networks or critical architectural changes;
- Perform advanced configuration and troubleshooting related to ACLs, vLans, subnetting, and firewall best practices;
- Manage experience and provide senior support regarding telecommunication providers, DNS, DHCP, enterprise Wi-Fi systems, service desk tickets, structured cabling, and fiber optics;
- Independently manage large network-related projects (automation, network refresh) from start to finish and mentor relevant teams;
- Document network configurations in accordance with standards (rack elevations, port mappings, CIDR ranges, VLANs, VPNs, switch configurations, routing tables, etc.);
- Monitor and detect unauthorized changes in network settings;
- Lead the deployment and configuration of new hardware for on-premise networks;
- Plan and execute bulk firmware upgrades for IP phones, PBX, switches, routers, APs etc;
- Ensure configuration and image backups are maintained;
- Have advanced experience using and configuring SD-WAN, VPNs and WAN technologies for multi-office, cloud, and on-premise integrations.
Responsibilities
- Experience: A minimum of 3 years of demonstrated experience managing multi-segmented networks;
- Experience working with Fortigate firewall;
- Experience working with Cumulus and Aruba switch;
- Certifications: Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), CompTIA Network+, Fortinet NSE highly desirable;
- A solid understanding and advanced expertise in computer systems, networks, and infrastructure, with a strong emphasis on Cisco and Fortinet networking technologies. Knowledge and experience with Layer 2 security protocols;
- Familiarity with virtualization technologies, such as VMware or Hyper-V, is a plus;
- Problem-Solving Skills: The ability to effectively diagnose and troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues using root cause analysis, with a specific focus on Cisco and Fortinet devices;
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with end-users and team members;
- Excellent attention to detail when performing system maintenance, documentation, and troubleshooting, particularly ensuring standard compliance with Cisco and Fortinet technologies;
- Knowledge and management experience with monitoring tools such as Solarwinds Orion, PRTG, Zabbix, , Graylog , FortiAnalyzer and FortiManager.
