
• Work collaboratively across all relevant sales channels to ensure MICE & Leisure sales efforts are coordinated.
• Build and strengthen relationships with existing and new MICE & Leisure customers to enable future bookings, including participation in sales calls, entertainment, FAM trips, trade shows, etc.
• Develop relationships within the community to strengthen and expand the customer base for MICE & Leisure sales opportunities.
• Assist in managing and developing relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
• Provide accurate, complete and effective turnover of business to the Event Management/Event Booking Center.
• Participate in sales calls with junior sales team members to acquire new business and/or close on business.
• Support the operational aspects of booked business (e.g. proposal generation, contract writing, customer correspondence).
• Identify new MICE & Leisure business opportunities to achieve personal and location revenue goals.
• Understand the overall market — competitors' strengths and weaknesses, economic trends, supply and demand — and know how to sell against them.
• Assist in closing the best opportunities for the location based on market conditions and property needs.
• Gain a strong understanding of the property's primary target customer and service expectations to offer the best business solutions.
• Support the company's service and relationship strategy, driving customer loyalty through service excellence at every touchpoint.
• Execute and uphold the company's customer service standards, setting a positive example for guest relations
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, Marketing or a related field.
• Minimum 3–5 years of sales experience in the hospitality industry, with prior exposure to MICE and/or leisure sales; supervisory or team-support experience is an advantage.
• Solid understanding of the MICE (meetings, incentives, conferences, events) and leisure sales cycle.
• Working knowledge of Opera Sales system is an advantage.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in Azerbaijani and English; Russian is a plus.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Excellent relationship-building, negotiation and presentation skills.
• Ability to guide and support junior sales team members on calls and account activity.
• Customer-focused, well-organized and results-driven approach.
• Willingness to travel locally/regionally and attend client meetings, FAM trips and industry events as required.
