Technical Engineer

Key Duties and Responsibilities



• Developing optimal technical solutions for non-standard and modernization projects together with the sales team
• Participating in customer meetings and answering customers’ technical questions
• Selecting the appropriate product platform for each project (elevators, escalators, doors, services, etc.)
• Proposing technical solutions that meet customer needs, taking into account material, installation and maintenance costs
• Preparing and coordinating technical specifications
• Performing elevator traffic analysis and energy consumption calculations
• Conducting technical site surveys
• Ensuring that the proposed solution is installable and suitable for long-term maintenance
• Ensuring that the solution complies with local regulations, safety and environmental requirements
• Preparing input for pre-tender and pre-contract technical reviews (solution, costs, timelines, risks)
• Preparing layouts and technical drawings
• Preparing technical passports for elevators in accordance with applicable regulations
• Re-ordering faulty materials identified in elevators under warranty and overseeing the execution of the process
• Analyzing change requests during projects and preparing proposals for additional work
• Handing over technical information to project managers and installation and maintenance supervisors
• Delivering technical training to sales, installation and maintenance teams
• Managing the engineering part of modernization works (component upgrades, full replacement, installation of elevators in existing buildings)

Requirements



• Higher education in engineering (mechanical, electrical engineering or a related field)
• At least 2 years of relevant engineering experience in vertical transportation systems, building engineering systems or electromechanical equipment
• Knowledge of new construction and building modernization processes
• General understanding of different building types (residential, office, commercial, infrastructure, healthcare facilities)
• Ability to translate customer requirements into technical specifications
• Knowledge of standards and regulations related to elevators and escalators
• Proficiency in AutoCAD
• Knowledge of the principles of calculating the total project cost
• Experience in conducting technical site surveys and improving work processes
• Ability to prepare reports, analyze completed and planned work, and coordinate within the team
• General awareness of competitors’ technical solutions
• Working proficiency in English
• Computer literacy (MS Office, engineering software)
