Junior İT Specialist

A Junior IT Specialist is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing tangible (computers, notebooks, tablets, smartphones, printers, all-in-one devices, scanners, networking devices, servers, etc.) and intangible (software, license and other intellectual property) assets presented in the Information Technology (IT) Services Catalog of the organization.

Their responsibilities include (in accordance with internal rules, IT Policy, and Service Level Agreement):

• Setting up and installing new hardware and software systems;
• Diagnosing and troubleshooting computer issues;
• Conducting regular maintenance and updates;
• Installing well-functioning computer networks and manage network components (Switches, Wireless Access Points, VPN Gateways, VoIP, etc.);
• Identifying and resolving network and connectivity issues;
• Providing technical support to users and resolving technical errors;
• Training end-users and writing instruction manuals as necessary;
• Maintain accurate call tracking and inventory records for computing equipment and supplies;
• Participates in IT activities and training events;

Performing other duties described in the IT Services Catalog for Computer Technicians.

• Relevant certifications (e.g. CompTIA A+, Microsoft Fundamentals, or Cisco Certified Network Associate) will be an advantage
• At least 1 year of experience as a computer technician, helpdesk or in a similar role.
• Azerbaijani and English language are required.
• Turkish and/or Russian languages are advantage.
• In depth knowledge in IT Essentials, Digital Literacy and MS Office Apps
• Proficiency in computer operating systems, such as MS Windows 10/11.
• Modern Workplace (M365) Fundamentals.
• Computer Networks and Wireless Network Fundamentals.
• Cybersecurity, Privacy, Data Protection Fundamentals.
• Effective problem-solving skills to resolve technical issues;
• React quickly and appropriately to incidents such as equipment failures;
• Thinks proactively about what is needed versus reactive only;
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions;
• Ability to work in a team;
• Attention to details;
• Critical thinking skills;
• Good written and verbal communication skills;
• Diplomatic and calm in stressful situations, and yet exhibiting an appropriate sense of urgency;
• Must be able to lift up to 30 kilograms;
• Stays current on emerging technologies and end user products.

May require travelling between organization sites.

May require working evenings and weekends, sometimes with little advanced notice.
