Logistics and Expediting Specialist

Plan, coordinate, and monitor inbound and outbound shipments (by sea, air, road, or rail).
Select and manage carriers, freight forwarders, and logistics service providers.
Negotiate freight rates, shipping terms, and service-level agreements (SLAs).
Ensure compliance with import regulations, customs documentation, duties, and permits.
Prepare and verify shipping documents (bill of lading, commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates, etc.).
Track shipments, maintain visibility, and provide updates to stakeholders (suppliers, internal teams, customers).
Follow up on orders with suppliers to ensure production deadlines and delivery commitments are met.
Identify bottlenecks, delays, or risk points in planned shipments, and proactively intervene to mitigate.
Escalate issues to management when needed (e.g. supplier delays, shipping disruptions, regulatory hold-ups).

Bachelor’s degree (preferred in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business)
Minimum 3 years experience in logistics, supply chain, expediting.
Strong knowledge of international shipping, Incoterms, customs regulations, freight documentation, and logistics best practices.
Experience with ERP
Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
Excellent communication and negotiation skills (verbal and written)
Ability to work under pressure, prioritize multiple tasks, and meet deadlines
